$600,000.00: Construction Accident: 42 year old electrician was injured when a metal register vent cover collapsed from a ceiling during a school renovation project, striking worker causing a laceration above his right eye and a tear in his right shoulder requiring surgery. Under New York Labor Law §240(1) owners and general contractors are responsible to provide workers proper protection when they are faced with risks associated with elevation differentials required to perform certain tasks at a job site.
